Using swekey in a corporate environment

The swekey can be used "as is" to secure any corporate private or public web site.
To meet the security requirements of the corporate market, Musbe has also developed the following products and services.

Branded swekeys

A company may want to restrict the access of its web site only to the swekeys they purchased for their employees. This is the reason why branded swekeys have been created.
A branded swekey is a swekey whose id matches a particular pattern.
Chars 16 to 24 of a swekey id contains the branding of the swekey. The following example shows a swekey id which brand is “00000123”:

Using the brand feature, a web site can filter swekeys and accept to authenticate only users who own swekeys of a particular brand.
The generic swekeys sold from the swekey web site have the brand “00000000” which means ‘no brand’.

Unlike generic swekeys, branded swekeys do not require user registration and cannot be managed from the swekey website. It is up to the company that owns the brand to register and manage its users.
The ‘Plug URL’ (the web page that is opened when the swekey is plugged) is also fully controlled by the company that owns the branded swekey.

Dedicated Authentication Servers

Because of it's public IP address and the nature of the http (and https) protocols, Musbe cannot provide an SLA with the public swekey authentication servers.
If you need guaranteed response times and guaranteed up time, Musbe can provide you with dedicated authentication servers.

Dedicated Authentication Servers are hosted by Musbe from at least 3 different locations worldwide.

For information about Dedicated Authentication Servers please contact support@swekey.com.

Private Authentication Servers

For companies that have really strict security rules, and that have an intranet which is not connected to the internet, Musbe can provide private authentication servers.

A Private Authentication Servers can be used in a totally isolated network.
To be able to work in this isolated environment, the swekeys have to be initialized with this private server first.

For information about Private Authentication Servers please contact support@swekey.com.
